In the limestone alps the water sometimes washed out basins - which is immediatelly occupied by the botanic. But few water only allows flat greens; nevertheless these plants are blooming beautiful when wet.

This flower is very popular in Austria (especially when available as alcoholic fluid - hint: can be used for binge drinking!
) It’s growing only in the mountains above 1500 m.

A storm front was arriving Linz when I was just starting to drive home with my bike. Fortunately the upcoming wind speeded me up to 45 km/h so that I did not get wet in the end.

This pano was taken last year’s September during our 5-days tour through the region of the Totes Gebirge. There is nearly no vegatation on its plateau; nevertheless some very tenacious green has covered the southwestern part.
