Garden of the humble officer

1/125sec, F8, ISO400, 51mm and some PhotoshopEnd of October I did a round trip through China.  This pic was made in the “Garden of the humble officer” in Suzhou. (Near Shanghai) But humble is a big understatement because of the four hectare size.

sparkling

sparklingIt was a long time since i posted my last image. So i decide to show you a new one. I shot this image a few weeks ago in Hinterstoder (Upper-Austria) on the mountain “Höss”. It shows some sun sparks on the water surface of an artificial lake (used for artificial snow). I hope you enjoy it. I’ll post some other pictures from this lake soon.

morning glory

This panoramic picture was shot some years ago; after a windy and cold night in our sleeping bags we got up even before the sunrise - morning glory.

Some weeks ago I was hiking in Waidring in Tirol. Its a small but nice ski region with lots of cows. There is also a small lake called Lake Piller but its hard to swim in 14°C cold water. Thy people are friendly but sometimes a little bit crazy.

pure energy - ISO 100, 38mm, 30s, F4.0, tripod mountedI shot this lightning bolt last weekend from the window of my flat. I like the detailed secondary bolts. I hope you’ll also enjoy this image.

small garden

LeimkrautIn the limestone alps the water sometimes washed out basins - which is immediatelly occupied by the botanic. But few water only allows flat greens; nevertheless these plants are blooming beautiful when wet.
